So far, so good…
Well it seems that the server/provider move has been rather successfull. As many of you may have noticed, I’ve set this site to the sub-domain of blog.grymwulf.com, and going to grymwulf.com will redirect you here. That is because I’m not sure what I am going to do with the main domain. I may continue using the blog here, or I just might decide on a content management system to take over for the full site.
Currently the grymwulf.com domain is broken down as follows:
- wiki.grymwulf.com - Documentation and frequently asked questions. Using MediaWiki 1.8.2 with a custom compiled php.cgi to allow larger uploads and more memory for processing.
- forum.grymwulf.com - The forums, I plan on migrating this over to the custom php.cgi after I determine how stable it is with the wiki, which would allow me to post the larger compilations and add-ons that I like to keep updated.
- blog.grymwulf.com - This blog, I’m not sure if I will upload any shareware/freeware/zip files, so I’m not sure if I will move this to the custom php.cgi or not.
- test.grymwulf.com - This is the site that I use to test out any CMS or other website/application framework that I’m interested in. So far I’ve worked through tikiwiki (way too large and all-encompassing), Ruby on Rails (couldn’t get this to work properly), Typo3 (way too complicated for my needs and wouldn’t work properly. Couldn’t ‘unhide’ content.), CakePHP (needed too much hand-coding for my needs right now), and Joomla! 1.5 Beta (current).
- grymwulf.dnsalias.net - My home server, it allows me to SSH into my network and manage applications. Currently showing a default Apache installation successfull page.
